romeo and Juliet

Romeo and Juliet by Baz Lurhman.

The modern made screenplay of Romeo And Juliet staring pretty boy leo dicap, was disappointing, bad acting on most parts. and come on. Juliet could have been a little hotter.
The idea of the movie is genius but the movie itself was atrocious. The only reason why this movie seemed revolutionary was because of the idea at the thought it strikes in the mind. But the actual picture does not live up to the self hype.

I disagree, the role of Juliet was perfect, she is pretty and cute also her imagine is not 'hot' or 'sexy' because it is meant for her to show an imagine of a pure girl you will see anywhere, if it was Jessica simpson or anyone hot in Hollywood, the whole meaning of Juliet would be wrecked. Juliet's imagine is a pure young girl...you boys are sometimes silly.

Haha I agree that Juliet could be a little prettier because Claire Danes isn't that attracting.

I’m not sure I could disagree with you more. I, for one, found the acting not only decent, but enjoyable. I have to say that Leo did make Romeo’s character almost “whiny” during certain moments, but each moment was certainly forgivable. As for Claire Danes, it seems to me that you’ve managed to completely miss the entire concept of the movie, simply because you didn’t find the leading lady attractive. Let’s look at the facts, shall we? Juliet’s character, based on the written play, is thirteen years old when she and Romeo first meet. I’m not sure about you, but I haven’t seen too many ‘hot’ thirteen year olds running around. Actually, I think she was cast perfectly for the part, she looks childish and innocent, any other actress might have butchered the storyline completely.

It could have been better, that’s fair enough to say, but I wouldn’t call it atrocious either.
